Spice it up at the third annual Gourmet Chili Pepper and Salsa Festival in the heart of Texas Hill Country. On July 24, 25 and 26, 2009, on the grounds of Wildseed Farms (about seven miles outside Fredericksburg), you can not only visit the pepper fields, but taste all sorts of goodies made with the hot veggie!
Spotlighted chefs are Ross Burtwell of Cabernet Grill and Steve Howard of Bonterra. Specialty vendors include Honey’s Jalapeno Grills, Bubba’s Bar-B-Q Rub and Mercado Juarez Salsa. There’s more, including a hot air balloon show, the Brewbonnet Biergarten and evening entertainment.
