Copper River Wild!
Well, heck! Who wouldn’t want to celebrate wild Alaska salmon through art, music and education? Sure, there’s salmon to sample, but there’s also Cordova, Alaska’s fishing culture — especially as it laps over into artistic creativity and social cadence! Get thee northwards via the Alaska Marine Highway System for the Salmon Festival July 9-11, 2009, and check it out! The official “Taste of Cordova” (a Copper River salmon cook-off) starts at 7:30 p.m. July 9, but there’s more to see, do and taste on the other two days, too.
