Where better to celebrate Celtic pride than “Cowtown”? Road Trip Foodies passing through Kansas City on Labor Day Weekend (September 4, 5 and 6, 2009) should save $10 for an admission ticket to the Irish Fest at the Crown Center Square in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Sure there’ll be all the usual stuff (Irish dancing, Irish music, leprechauns and fairies) but they also promise authentic Irish food (and drink). No details are provided — surely they’ll serve more than potatoes — but, you’ll just have to use your imagination ’til you get there and can sample the goodies for yourself!
