The Boss’s Oktoberfest
Road Trip Foodies are well-acquainted with the Culver’s chain (some of the best ice cream AND hamburgers available on the road). But, did you know that Culver’s has a second kind of restaurant? Called the Blue Spoon Café, these two eateries are casual Euro style restaurants offering “food with personality” for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Whereas Culver’s serves custard-style ice cream, for example, Blue Spoon Café offers gelato!) The two locations are Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin (immediately north of Culver Franchising Systems’ headquarters building) and Middleton, Wisconsin.
Mike Boss, Director of Operations for Blue Spoon Café, meanders over to Carr Valley Cheese Company in Sauk City, Wisconsin, on October 6, 2009, to prepare a special dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. called “The Boss’s Oktoberfest”. Obviously, it’s a German-style dinner; price is $45 per person. If you’re gonna be road trippin’ near Madison, Wisconsin, then (the date is German-American Day), consider making a reservation online.
