The Boss’s Oktoberfest

wisconsin_bluespoonRoad Trip Foodies are well-acquainted with the Culver’s chain (some of the best ice cream AND hamburgers available on the road). But, did you know that Culver’s has a second kind of restaurant? Called the Blue Spoon Café, these two eateries are casual Euro style restaurants offering “food with personality” for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Whereas Culver’s serves custard-style ice cream, for example, Blue Spoon Café offers gelato!) The two locations are Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin (immediately north of Culver Franchising Systems’ headquarters building) and Middleton, Wisconsin.

wisconsin_carrMike Boss, Director of Operations for Blue Spoon Café, meanders over to Carr Valley Cheese Company in Sauk City, Wisconsin, on October 6, 2009, to prepare a special dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. called “The Boss’s Oktoberfest”. Obviously, it’s a German-style dinner; price is $45 per person. If you’re gonna be road trippin’ near Madison, Wisconsin, then (the date is German-American Day), consider making a reservation online.
