Indy’s International Festival
OK, Road Trips Foodies: listen up. All the good ethnic food is not, repeat not on the coasts! America is a country settled by wave after wave of immigrants from all across the globe, and some of them actually live in the fly-over district. Like, say, Indianapolis. This weekend, some of the best eating in America takes place at the International Festival in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1201 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday (20 November) and Saturday (21 November), and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday (22 November). Admission is $9 for adults and $6 for children. There’s everything from Chicken Tikka to mango smoothies to baklava to Filipino noodles on offer. (That’s Liebkuchen in the photo; one of the desserts at the German booth.) Enjoy!
