Chicago Flower and Garden Show is March 6-14, 2010, at Navy Pier, at the foot of Grand Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Why? For the Garden Gourmet! It’s located near the Market Place. There, I can watch presentations from Chicagoland’s top chefs, including Ina Pinkney (pictured). She is chef/owner of Ina’s, a breakfast, lunch (and, in warmer weather, dinner) restaurant in the trendy West Loop. Often called the “Breakfast Queen,” she has appeared on the Food Network and is frequently featured in local and national media for both her culinary skills and longtime expertise in making exquisite desserts. She’s just one of many, though: Michael Koury, Scott Schmitz, Brian Millman, Filemon Ochoa, Bernie Laskowski, Gale Gand…the list goes on! Check the schedule and plan your visit!
