The Vienna Genussfestival will bring together leading food producers from all over Austria in the Stadtpark from May 7-9, 2010. Honey from Carinthia, cheese from Vorarlberg, escargots from Vienna – the Vienna Genussfestival has it all. The country’s leading producers, manufacturers and gourmets will present choice culinary creations for Road Trips Foodies to enjoy in one of the city’s most impressive parks. This gourmet festival – now entering its third year – attracted over 130 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors in 2009. The event also features a special food school for children, and a packed program of lectures and tasting sessions for grown-ups. The 2010 festival harks back to Austria’s imperial past with a selection of traditional dishes from the former countries of the Habsburg monarchy. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. May 7, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 8 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 9. The Stadtpark is in the 1st district of Vienna.
