Restaurant Week: Miami Spice

Submitted by on July 7, 2010 – 2:06 pmNo Comment

If you’re gonna be in Miami, Florida, at the end of the summer, Road Trips Foodies, consider dropping in during the ninth annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program. What better time to try a new restaurant than when prices are reduced an average of 30 to 50%!. During Miami Spice (August 1 through September 30, 2010), restaurants in Greater Miami will offer three-course prix fixe lunches at $22 per person, and three-course dinners at $35 (excluding taxes and gratuities). Each menu will include an appetizer, entrée and dessert — there’s a list of participating restaurants online.

A new addition this year is a kickoff fundraiser to be held July 31, 2010, in the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida. (VIP tickets are $100, but general admission is $50 at the door.) It’ll showcase a sampling of delicious culinary specialties from Miami Spice participating restaurants, and celebrity chefs will be selling and signing their cookbooks. Both the benefit and the promotion are sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, where you’ll find more information about visiting that part of south Florida.
