A Citywide Suds Celebration in Denver
This Road Trips Foodie didn’t realize that Denver, Colorado, has established a reputation as one of the world’s great beer cities, but, well, why not? Check out the scene for yourself at the second annual Denver Beer Fest. Set for September 10-19, 2010, this is a citywide brew-centric experience leading up to the marquee event. And what’s that? Why, it’s America’s most prestigious beer festival and competition: the Brewers Association’s Great American Beer Festival, held September 16-18, 2010.
But, there’s no sense in just stopping there when there’s so much good brew to be sampled in the Mile High City:
* Brew at the Zoo, 7-10 p.m. September 10 (information here)
* Tilted Kilt Beer Fest Launch Party, 5-10 p.m. September 10 (Information here)
* Tour de Fat, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. September 11. (Information here)
* Great American Beer Fest, September 16-18 (Alas! Sold out already! Info here)
* Rare Beer Tasting II, 1-4 p.m. September 17, 1-4 p.m. (Information here)
* Oktoberfest Denver, September 17-19 and September 24-26 (Information here)
* Second City “Beer-Prov,” 7:30 p.m. September 19 (Information here)
And, if that’s not enough, more Denver beer happenings are added daily: check Denver Beer Fest for details, including events sponsored by some of the more than 500 breweries coming to town for GABF.
