Wine tastings and cooking demonstrations are part of the annual Texas Mushroom Festival set for October 22-23, 2010, in Madisonville, Texas. Aim for Madison and Main streets, downtown. Admission is $10 per person.
Here are some of the mushroom recipes from last year’s festival.
And there’s Texas wine. Did I mention the wine? You’ll get a commemorative wine glass to refill throughout the day as you wander through the tasting in the self-proclaimed Mushroom Capital of Texas. I’d mention the gala dinner, but even at $100 per ticket, it’s already sold out!
