Chili Cook-off

Submitted by on November 1, 2010 – 12:27 amNo Comment

Get your stoves fired up and dust off your favorite chili recipe for the first annual Blue Horseshoe Chili Cook-Off. It’s set for noon to 2 p.m. November 7, 2010, at the F15 Park in Stapleton Eastbridge, 2800 Hanover Street, Denver, Colorado.

If you want to participate, time is of the essence! Send an email with your name, team name (uniforms/costumes highly recommended) and the name for your chili (have some fun with this). There is no fee to enter, but only 20 teams will be accepted. Participants will receive — free — two pounds of Blue Horseshoe ground beef (which must be used in your recipe).

To participate, you turn up with three quarts (75-90 ounces) of prepared chili (plus an extra pint of chili for the judges), a cook stove to bring your Chili up to serving temp at the event (let us know if you need a stove), a serving ladle, and (most important) a resounding belief that your chili is the best on earth and the attitude to back it up

The only requirement for your chili recipe is that you use the Blue Horseshoe beef If you need a creativity boost, check out the company’s own recipes. Entries will be judged on balance of flavor and spice, texture and presentation.
