San Diego Restaurant Week

Submitted by on December 2, 2010 – 12:08 amOne Comment

From downtown San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter to the beaches of La Jolla and Coronado and beyond, visitors to this part of southern California can celebrate the seventh annual San Diego Restaurant Week January 16 – 21, 2011.

The six-day celebration provides food lovers the opportunity to explore the region’s dining scene for a fraction of the normal expense. Diners can enjoy special three-course, prix fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30 or $40 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included) at more than 180 participating restaurants.

Tickets or special passes are not required for San Diego Restaurant Week; however, reservations are strongly recommended. More than 100,000 guests turned out for the last San Diego Restaurant Week and even more are expected to participate in January.

The list of participating restaurants is currently available online, and new menus are being posted daily. Need somewhere to stay, too, Road Trips Foodies? There are special offers for that week here.

San Diego Restaurant Week is part of California Restaurant Month — January 2011 — when more than 20 destinations across California are hosting restaurant week events. Other participating towns in southern California are Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Temecula Valley.
