Verde Valley Wine Trail

Submitted by on December 8, 2010 – 12:46 amOne Comment

Northern Arizona has developed the Verde Valley Wine Trail to help us Road Trips Foodies check out the region’s vineyards, wineries, tasting rooms, shops and restaurants. It highlights the red rock countryside and lush canyons surrounding Cottonwood, Jerome, Sedona, Clarkdale, and Cornville. (Did I mention it’s the only Arizona wine trail?)

There are four wineries and five tasting rooms on the trail that offer a variety of wines. Of course, each has its own personality and distinct wines for visitors to discover along the trail. If your travels take you to the region in 2011, check out the trail online before you plan your route.

The wineries: Alcantara Vineyards (pictured), Page Springs Cellars, Oak Creek Vineyards and Javelina Leap Vineyards

The tasting rooms: Caduceus Cellars, Jerome Winery, Arizona Stronghold Vineyards, Pillsbury Wine Company and Bitter Creek Winery
