Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival
The 26th annual Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival takes place March 31 through April 3, 2011, in various venues in and around Austin, Texas.
The Stars Across Texas Classic is a tasting that features not only chefs from Texas locales (including Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas), but also local, national and international wineries and food purveyors.
Live Fire! (a new event) is a beef-centric cooking event that showcases chefs, ingredients and live-fire cooking technique from Australia, Austin, and the Americas. Educational panels will include beef tastings, butchery classes, and symposiums on liquor, wine and beer, plus wine and food tastings led by top experts, sommeliers, beverage directors and journalists.
The four-day festival’s culminating weekend event, The Sunday Fair, includes chef demonstrations, wine and food tastings, craft beer sampling, artisan producer showcases, vendor tents, a spirits pavilion and live music.
