Cupcake Festival
If there are foodie festivals for artichokes, strawberries and chili — why not for cupcakes? Yes, Road Trips Foodies, there’s a Cupcake Festival set for May 15, 2011, in Gardiner, New York.
It’s kind of like an old-fashioned block party, held along Main Street in the Ulster County hamlet from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Needless to say, there will be many cupcakes amongst the food offered for sale, not to mention a cupcake bake off and cupcake decorating demonstrations. Live music will come from Vito Petroccitto, Tanager, Swear and Shake, The Conner Kennedy Band and The Joanna Teters Experiment.
Taps will be open in the Cupcake Festival’s Beer Garden, and local wineries plan tastings. And, yes, the Cupcake Festival will be held rain or shine.
