If you’re wandering Michigan, Road Trips Foodies, swing by the Mesick Mushroom Festival before it ends today (yes, the dates this year are May 6-8, 2011). Bonus: you can pick up a mushroom pickers’ kit for $6.
Next weekend is the National Morel Mushroom Festival in Boyne City, Michigan. There’ll be guided mushroom hunts as well as “shrooms” to sample. The brochure is available online.
It’s too late to drop by the Morel Mushroom Festival in Lewiston, Michigan, because it took place yesterday. But, you might note it on the calendar for the Saturday before Mother’s Day in 2012.
