A Strawberry Festival is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4, 2011, at the Vaile Mansion, 1500 North Liberty Street, Independence, Missouri.
The historic house, built in 1881, is considered a premiere example of Second Empire Victorian architecture.
There’ll be lots of strawberry treats to enjoy, but also more than a hundred crafts and antiques vendors, entertainment, carriage rides and vintage cars. Entrance to the fest on the grounds is free, but if you want to tour the house, tickets are $6.
