Cooking in Paradise?

Submitted by on March 14, 2012 – 12:05 amNo Comment

Do the flavors of the Caribbean tempt you? Consider a culinary vacation on the island nation of St. Lucia. There’s one set for March 30 through April 2, 2012, at Jade Mountain Resort.

Tropical fruits, one of the defining ingredients in this cuisine, are the stars at Cooking in Paradise. Mango, papaya, guava, pineapple, banana, tamarind, sour orange and passion fruit are each common and at the same time exotic.

On this long weekend event, guests will participate in creating dishes using these natural sustainable resources from this island and from their organic Emerald Gardens and the Plantation fruits from Anse Mamin.

Can’t make it for Cooking In Paradise? Jade Mountain will host three more culinary events this year: Mango Madness, June 15 through 18, 2012; Spices of the Caribbean, September 7 through 10, 2012, and The Chocolate Festival, December 13 through 16, 2012.
