Headed to California next week, Road Trips Foodies? Schedule a stop at the 17th annual Festival of Beers & Bluesapalooza in Mammoth Lakes, California (map).
It takes place not far from Yosemite National Park from August 3 through 5, 2012. The festival gates open at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.
You might want to aim for the Grand Tasting set for noon until 5 p.m. August 4, 2012, promising “unlimited tasting from some of the country’s best craft breweries”. Labels range from Alaskan Brewing to Ladyface Ale Companie to Tied House.
Buy your ticket in advance (they have been known to sell out in advance). Do bring a hat and sunscreen — and don’t forget that you’ll be drinking at 8,000 feet up!
