Taste of the Town and the Islands, Too
The 30th Taste of the Town takes place November 4, 2012, in Centennial Park, Fort Myers, Florida (map).
This is your chance, Road Trips Foodies to sample the best from more than 40 different restaurants in the Southwest Florida town. (Think: coconut shrimp, jumbo crab cakes, mariachi chicken and tiki rolls, just for starters.) It’s sponsored by the Junior League of Fort Myers.
The following weekend, November 11, 2012, is Taste of the Islands across the causeway in Sanibel Community Park, 2231 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel Island, Florida (map).
Now in its 31st year, this festival includes 20 local restaurants in tasting sessions and culinary talent competitions judged by a celebrity panel. Proceeds benefit the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife.
