A Lady’s Slipper Picnic and Tea is planned from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 17, 2013, at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, 109 Pequotsepos Road, Mystic, Connecticut (map).
Explore one of Mystic’s most fascinating places during a short guided natural history tour up and around Great Hill. You will also learn about the life cycle of Lady’s Slipper orchids and observe other late season wildflowers.
A light luncheon /picnic with assorted sandwiches, salads, teas and treats will include some locally foraged fare. Tickets are $25 per person (adults only). Advance registration is requested, 860:536-1216.
