Persimmons and Pomegranates
Your Road Trips Foodie had a grandfather who thought everything he planted in his backyard should work as hard as he did. So, we had raspberry bushes and an asparagus plot and cherry trees and a grape arbor.
The same impetus informs Edible Landscaping, 361 Spirit Ridge Lane, Afton, Virginia. Yes, they specialize in gardening with things you can eat.
Each fall they have a festival spotlighting persimmons and pomegranates. There’ll be fresh fruit tasting and goodies made with the fruit. This year, it’ll be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 25, 2014.
