Denver International Spirits Competition

liquorThe fourth annual Denver International Spirits Competition takes place March 7 and 8, 2015, in the Omni Interlocken Resort, 500 Interlocken Boulevard, Broomfield, Colorado.

The largest professional spirits competition in the Rocky Mountain Region, it’s sponsored by Wine Country Network.

A panel of 15 professional spirits authorities will judge the double-blind competition in as many as 102 different categories, and judging will be based on pricepoint. Judges will award medals for first (Gold), second (Silver) and third (Bronze) place for each qualifying category and best of show.

This year’s panel of judges includes:
*Blair Bowman, Scottish Whiskey columnist and Founder of World Whiskey Day
*Bryan Dayton, Mixologist and Co-Owner of Oak At Fourteenth in Boulder and Acorn in Denver
*Michael Cerretani, General Manager and Beverage Director of Blackbelly Market in Boulder

A Packaging and Design Contest will also be part of this year’s competition, with judging by graphic designers, art directors and wine retailers. Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be given.
