England’s Afternoon Tea Week
It’s the most logical place for this event, after all. The fifth Afternoon Tea Week is August 10 through 16, 2015, in the United Kingdom.
A tradition established by Queen Victoria in the 1840s, afternoon tea is that welcome respite between lunch and dinner. More than a hundred discounted special offers are planned, including a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed menu at London’s One Aldwych Hotel, a Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea at Sanctum, Soho House, London (pictured at left), and ice cream tea at the Dorchester, including such flavors as elderflower sorbet, cox apple, English honey and Earl Grey tea.
