PlumpJack Winemaker Dinners
Wandering northern California this summer, Road Trips Foodies? If you’re in the Lake Tahoe area, consider swinging by Squaw Valley. No, no, it’s not ski season! But, the PlumpJack Restaurant there has a whole series of winemaker dinners scheduled! (Gotta do something when there’s no snow!)
The schedule? Laid back! Mingle with the featured Winemaker and enjoy sips by the glass, flight or paired with the Chef’s Tasting Menu. And, best of all for last minute decisions, no reservations are needed: just drop on by between 6 and 9 p.m. on the following dates:
June 24, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Mauritson Wines (Clay Mauritson, winemaker — pictured, at left)
July 15, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Flowers Vineyard (Tom Hinde)
July 29, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Peay Vineyards (Andy Peay)
August 12, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Skinner Vineyards (Chris Pittenger)
August 26, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Coturri Winery and Olive Oils (Phil and Arden Coturri)
September 10, 2010: Winemaker Dinner with Truchard Vineyards (Anthony Truchard Jr.)
PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn Lake Tahoe was built at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in North Lake Tahoe, California, as the home for the 1960 Winter Olympic delegation (of course, it’s been completely renovated since then!).
